Sunway Lagoon, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Non-Stop Fun Means Sunway Lagoon!

Sunway Lagoon Amusement Park, situated around 20 mins drive from Kuala Lumpur, is the first of it's kind international-standard theme park in Malaysia

Spread over 80 acres which includes a shopping mall named pyramid shopping mall, water theme park, extreme park, petting zoo, archery range, bowling alley and many more.

Sunway Lagoon
You can spend your whole day in Sunway Amusement Park with your family but still you may not be able to see everything!

Sunway Lagoon Attractions:

Water Park: Although there are many water attractions in Sunway Lagoon water park but the adventure river was the best ride for us. Another pick for us was artificial beach which doesn't feel like artificial ! Although it gets crowded too much but still you should be able to find your place and enjoy the artificial waves. And of course don't forget to dance :)

Extreme and Adventure Park: How about challenging your calm nurves otherwise :) You will get to enjoy different rides based on different themes like wild wild west in Extreme and Adventure park. These rides provide all levels of excitement from the nervous to the wild at heart!

Scream Park: If your heart has not pumped yet, well I would suggest you to pay a visit to zombie land "scream park". It will blow your mind away when you see Zombie running towards you in a the dark room filled with only few other people and all of them are shouting like anything! It certainly did for my wife she was shouting through out :) Call me mean! but I enjoyed alot watching my wife shouting like hell lol.

Animal Lover Wild Park: well it's time to calm your nurves down and shake hands with the wild life. The live animal shows are amazing and the best part of sunway lagoon wildlife park is that you get a chance to participate too!

If you also wish to go for Ice Skating At Sunway Pyramid it will cost you around 20RM.

How To Go To Sunway Lagoon

If you are travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Sunway Lagoon:
1. Take a taxi to sunway lagoon which will cost you around 50RM.
2. Take LRT to kelana Jaya LRT station and then U623 bus to Sunway Lagoon.
3. There are two bus services numbered U63 and U67 avilable directly from KL Sentral to Sunway Lagoon.

Note: Park is closed on Tuesdays. However during our visit to park we overheard from theme park staff that it was going to be opened daily.
Kindly check their website for updates. The only dislike from the entire trip was the Sunway Lagoon entrance fee it's damn to costly, 120RM for single person! And on top that it keeps on increasing always :(

So if you don't mind the price of ticket then a Sunway Lagoon tour with your family can be a good pick for a weekend, enjoy!

Happy travelling...

Aquarium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Aquaria KLCC

Few fishes are best watched in control environment than open sea and of course Shark is one of them:) Nobody wants to see a wild shark swimming next to him in sea :)
So if you want to have a close look to shark jaw, Aquaria KLCC in Kuala Lumpur could be your best and safest bet like mine:)
Aquaria KLCC
Aquaria KLCC is one of its kind Aquarium in Malaysia, beside being huge, it's amazingly maintained. You can find wide variety of sea animals including Sharks, Piranhas and stingrays.

The under-water tunnel is just amazing, you get to see many fishes swimming around and suddenly you see a shark swimming right towards you and then it passes right above your head. Dam! it worth the single penny paid for it :) BTW the entrance fees of Aquaria KLCC is 50RM for foreign and 35RM for locals.

Undoubtedly , Kuala Lumpur Oceanarium (if I can call it !) is a great place for kids to spend their week end. It added a funny moment to our life, we went along with our 2 years old daughter. First she was just too excited after seeing all animals but as soon as she saw few sharks in a big water tank she got hell of scared, although she is too young to speak properly yet, but she was strongly advising us not to go near to them else they will eat us:)

How To Get To Aquaria KLCC

KLCC Aquarium is situated at ground floor of KLCC. To reach there you can take LRT train to the KLCC station and walk all the way to KLCC Aquarium. But the most convenient way, if you are in Bukit Bintang area or near by, from the Pavillion mall you can take a pedestrian bridge all the way to the KLCC Aquarium. It will end just in front of Aquaria KLCC no hassle of searching!

So if you are wondering what else to do in KLCC or Kuala Lumpur? Why not greet a shark!

Menara KL, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

A Chance To Touch The Clouds - Kuala Lumpur Tower

Didn't get the ticket for Petrons Twin Towers? Don't worry there is another location to get aerial view of the city and of the Twin Towers itself! Situated right in the heart of city is the seventh tallest telecommunication tower, one of the top places to visit in Malaysia and of course one of the top Kuala Lumpur tourist attractions known as Menara KL or KL Tower.

KL Tower
The city view is far better from the observation deck of KL Tower than Twin Towers! The KL tower observation deck is around 100 meters higher than Twin Towers.

Now you must  be wondering how tall is KL Tower then? Well it's around 421 meters tall. In-comparison with the twin towers, well Twin Tower still remains highest tower in KL.

Again you will have to pay entrance fees but view of city is worth the money paid for. The KL Tower entrance fee is around 50RM. The opening hours are 9 AM to 10 PM daily. Undoubtedly, visiting KL tower is one of the best things to do Kuala Lumpur.

If you wish to have a dinner with best aerial view of the city, don't forget to visit Atmosphere 360, the revolving restaurant at the top of the tower.

How To Get To KL Tower

To get to KL Tower using public transportation, you got following three options:
  • Take a taxi :)
  • Take KL monorail to Bukit Nanas station and walk from there. It's not like very near from there but neither far. I guess, it should be around 10 Mins walk.
  • Take KL LRT to Dang Wangi LRT Station and walk from there. Again not very near but neither very far. Again, it shouldn't be more than 10 Mins walk.

Note: There is shuttle service provided by government from KL Tower to the near by rail stations. So kindly check shuttle service timings. You might not have to walk at all !!
